Under the patronage of the Prince of the region titled «Partners in the vision of tomorrow»
«Economic Forum of the Eastern Region» discusses policies to diversify the economic base and ways to promote business partnership
Under
the patronage of the Prince of the region, His Royal Highness Prince
Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, and with the slogan "Partners in the
Vision of Tomorrow", the Eastern Chamber of Commerce will launch on
November 8 and 9, 2017 the Eastern Region Economic Forum, which brings together
a group of government officials, policy makers and businessmen. And economic experts to highlight the diversification policies of
the Kingdom's economic base and ways to enhance its business
partnership.

Chamber Chairman Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan, said that the
Economic Forum was planned to be a comprehensive forum to
discuss the various issues of partnership between the national and
private economic sectors by focusing on the process of economic
transformation and the role of the private sector. Vision
2030 in April last year, and the important responsibilities of the
private sector, there is a constant need to explore challenges and find
solutions for how to overcome them, provide a specialized reading of the
gains that can be made by economic transformation, Rules for the optimal utilization of available human or natural resources.
He pointed that the Chamber has extensive efforts in
supporting and developing the business and investment community and
enhancing the role of the private sector in its desire to achieve
sustained growth of the business sector, the region and the Kingdom, as
essential resources for the desired economic development and growth.
Promote competitiveness
The
forum will discuss all issues related to enhancing the partnership
between the private and government sectors in achieving economic
diversification by addressing the macroeconomic outlook and the role of
economic integration in achieving balanced development, as well as the
prospects for sustainability, especially the sustainability of the
construction industry, Ways to enhance competitiveness in the business sector.
The main goals of the forum is to engage in scientific
discussions and make specific recommendations on the role of the private
sector in the process of economic transformation, and formulate
opportunities for effective communication between the poles of the
national economy.

The
forum discussed of 26 topics within three main topics,
starting with an example not only of the commercial and retail sector
and their challenges in light of the current economic changes, ways of
promoting small and medium institutions as a catalyst for commercial
movement in the Kingdom, Foreign trade, the contracting sector, the challenges of the
alliance, the integration of its branches and the ways of structuring
its institutions, in addition to the contractors authority and the role
it hopes to play in supporting the sector.
The
forum ends with discussing the challenges of the industrial sector in
the Kingdom, the competitive advantages of the Saudi manufacturing
industries and their protection mechanisms under the current economic
transformation, the role of the local component in the national
transformation program, and the industrial cities and their role in
enhancing the competitiveness of the Saudi economy. In the military industries within the framework of the vision of
Saudi Arabia 2030, and finally the prospects for applying research and
innovations to meet the challenges of sustainability.
